Originally, I was going to enter the first time they opened, but I got caught up with life stuffs. So here's hoping that I get in this time around~ \o/

PERSONALITY
_{Mandarin is, in a nutshell, a very laid-back guy. He prefers that his home life be as calm and enjoyable as possible; you will not catch this guy participating in any drama. He does, however, absolutely love to socialize. He will sometimes spend his days just going around the village, talking to its citizens to find out about their day and how they’ve been. He comes across as quite flirtatious in his speak and body language, but fret not, it is merely done to compliment others… Unless he’s in a more playful mood, in which you’ll find him turning up the flirting dial and turning down the personal space to purposefully make others uncomfortable to provide himself with some amusement. This applies to anyone, male and female alike, though males tend to be his favorite targets, as they usually provide the better reactions.
Due to his joking tendencies, Mandarin does not have much of a personal space bubble himself. He is also very lax with how others speak and act towards/around him. It’s pretty hard to get him rustled up, which causes some to be very frustrated, either because of getting no amusing response when they try to make him uncomfortable back, or because he can let others get away with some particularly nasty comments/actions, as he prefers to stay out of the line of fire. Confrontation makes him very nervous, and he has lost friends because they believed that he didn’t care about them after he didn’t jump in to defend them, when he was actually too frozen to do so.
In contrast to his ‘whatever goes’ nature and social prowess, when it comes time for work or to head out on an adventure, he prefers to be alone and tackle as many challenges as possible along the way. He gets done what needs to get done, and can often lose himself while in the heat of organizing all the things at the store, or when having to struggle through several tough terrains to get to another treasure. Some close to him theorize that this ‘switch’ in his personality is a way to cope with the social conflict he is exposed to and then ends up internalizing instead of subjecting himself to potential stress.}

HISTORY
_{Mandarin learned lessons in generosity very early on in life. His parents were explorers, but rather than keeping their spoils, they were keen to give majority of it to the less fortunate. This rubbed off on Mandarin, and he soon grew a liking for pleasing and helping others, as well as exploring. His younger sister and he had a knack for finding some of the oddest little trinkets and treasures, a lot of which they would use to decorate the family home. Their life was exciting, yet peaceful… until one day, not long after fall began to end on the year Mandarin turned eighteen, his parents caught wind of a possible treasure located in the supposed ruins of a lost civilization. The idea of such an adventure and reward were too good for them to pass up, and so they left their fourteen year old daughter in the care of their son, promising to return within a few months. And a few months passed, which turned into six months, which turned into a year, and then eventually two. His younger sister was devastated, waiting on the edge of town everyday for their return. Mandarin could hardly bear the thought of losing his parents, but coupled with the look of disappointment on his baby sister’s face every time she would return home, it grew to be too much. After months of consideration and his sister begging him not to, Mandarin took off in search of their parents, leaving whatever money he could spare behind for his sister, and only two more years later would he return with the results of his findings…}

His tail was once a bristle tail, but a violent and traumatizing incident in his past left him with nothing but a stub and a scar.
Due to not wanting his ears to drag on the ground when he was younger, Mandarin decided to keep his ears up as often as possible, resulting in great muscle development. He may not be the fastest chiot when it comes to flight, but he does have above average stamina.
Following the above fun fact, due to Mandarin's unusual normal ear positioning, his ears are a great indicator of his mood (for example, if they're actually hanging down, that means he's very upset about something). They will almost always reveal how he's truly feeling, even if his words say otherwise.}
